Brighton have only 3 points left to play for in this year’s battle for Championship promotion.

Middlesbrough’s draw against Birmingham on Friday was matched by Brighton taking a point from Derby County in Monday’s clash.

Burnley beat Queens Park Rangers one nil to secure their own automatic promotion spot, so it all rests on victory over Middlesbrough now.

If Burnley win against Charlton the title cannot be ours, but three points ensures Brighton go up in the last automatic spot goes to us.

Unfortunately a draw wouldn’t be enough as Boro have a better goal difference.

Brighton:
Middlesbrough May 7 A

Burnley:
Charlton May 7 A

Middlesbrough:
Brighton May 7 H

The top three battle has already seen plenty of twists and turns and no doubt there will be a few more before the end of the season, but it’s very much crunch time now with one game remaining and it all rests on that if we’re to avoid the Play Offs.
