Albion have been linked to Sunderland`s Northern Ireland international forward David Healy.

The 31 year old has struggled for game time at the Black Cats and could be tempted by a loan move to the South Coast. Sunderland are unlikely to ask any suitors to pay the full 20k a week wages and Albion may be able to afford to pay a contribution depending on the proportion of budget left to play with.

A goal scorer does still seem to be at the top of Poyet`s list as chances continue to go begging at the feet of Ashley Barnes. Poyet will also be familiar to Healy from his days as assistant manager of Leeds. If a move were to come about it would represent a major coup for Brighton, securing the signature of a player who is his country`s all time leading scorer and once scored 13 goals in a European qualifying campaign including a hat trick against Spain.
