Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill is a player Brighton boss Chris Hughton reportedly wants to join us in the Premier League?

According to what sources have told TEAMtalk, former Manchester United trainee Brownhill is a reported target of Burnley, Bournemouth and Swansea too so Brighton have competition for the ex-Preston midfielder, signed by Bristol City last summer.

It’s claimed Bournemouth and Swansea had each registered an interest when Bristol City boss Lee Johnson – following a successful loan under him at Barnsley – took him to Ashton Gate, both retain an interest following his performances in recent months for the Robins.

With Hughton reportedly ‘hugely impressed by him’ the Brighton boss hopes Albion’s Premier League promotion can secure Brownhill, coupled with the top class setup at the Amex Stadium.

However, TEAMtalk said Burnley boss Sean Dyche is of the opinion the Clarets are in ‘pole position’ to secure Brownhill, 21. The Clarets could prove closer to home perhaps, given his Manchester background?
