After some pleasing results of late and battling performances from the Brighton and Hove Albion boys, Saturday’s trip to Goodison Park couldn’t have been much worse as Everton took victory.
There’s no reason for toys to come out of the pram, it was just one of those games and £50million man Richarlison put in one of his strongest showings yet for the Toffees.
Centre-half Shane Duffy is a regular on social media following matches and he didn’t avoid communicating with the fans following this game.
Tough game yesterday against a very good team. Always special going back to goodison we’re I grew up! Didn’t deserve anything from the game. Onto Saturday against Cardiff now . Thanks for the support as always 🔵⚪️ pic.twitter.com/GsVLgt7E9B

Openly admitting it was a poor performance and that we didn’t deserve points from the encounter, he took a bit of banter in good spirits as well.
He did indeed

Duffy was obviously defended from some quarters and no doubt his already high stock at the Amex amongst the fanbase will only grow further as he took the comments in good spirits and continued to Tweet.
Chill, Shane is sound

We’ve had days like that before and we’ll no doubt have plenty more in the future but any disappointment will be offset with engagement like that so fair play big man. Some good comments from Everton fans as well.
