Manager Chris Hughton and striker Tomer Hemed have both given their thoughts following a disappointing and difficult loss to Cardiff City yesterday.

Making the trip to the Cardiff City Stadium to face off against Russell Slade’s Play Off hopefuls, well pretty much what could go wrong in the game did, as Brighton fell to a four one defeat.

Finding ourselves behind after only 16 minutes, defensively the wheels fell off and Cardiff took a three nil leading into the half time break.

With Dale Stephens grabbing a consolation back ten minutes after the half time restart, Cardiff tied it up with a penalty on 66 and that was how the game ended.

A disappointed Hughton said you couldn’t account for conceded goals as softly as they did on the day – and he knew it was uncharacteristic for the side this season.

Presumably he hopes it was just one of those bad days at the office to turn a phrase.

Hemed was also interviewed after the game, and he explained.
