A frustrated and disappointed Brighton manager, Chris Hughton, has been giving his thoughts following yesterday’s loss to Newcastle United.

Returning to St James’ Park once more to face the side he used to manage, a below par performance from Brighton ultimately cost them the two one defeat on the day, and for Hughton whilst more than acknowledging the performance wasn’t ‘good enough’ across the 90 minutes, he also knew what could go wrong on the day did, with woodwork interventions, missed chances and Sam Baldock’s double yellow card that saw him sent from the pitch before the 90 minutes were up.

Brighton skipper Bruno was also interviewed after the full time whistle and he told BBC Sussex Sport have difficult a game it had been for the side, and he also looked at the business in the transfer window so far.

And finally, new signing Shane Duffy gave his thoughts on his Brighton debut following his arrival from Blackburn Rovers the other day.
