Manager Chris Hughton has declared himself pleased with a point from the trip to Reading today.

Heading to the Madejski Stadium, Brighton played out a two all draw with the hosts, and Hughton’s pleasure at a point was pretty simple – he knew Brighton certainly weren’t ‘at our best’ in the game, so coming away unbeaten and with a point sometimes has to be acceptable in certain circumstances.

Midfielder Steve Sidwell as he spoke to BBC Sussex Sport had to concur with the gaffer as he knew it had been a ‘very poor’ performance by Brighton’s own standards across the 90 minutes.
