“Bigger Than The Whole Club, No Pressure Lad” “Eventually” – Some Brighton Fans React To Record Club Signing

Yesterday evening Brighton and Hove Albion put fans out of their misery and announced the signing of Iranian international Alizera Jahanbakhsh.

The 24-year-old versatile attacker moves to the Amex Stadium on a five year deal for a club record fee from Dutch top-flight side AZ Alkmaar. He had of course long been speculated about on the rumour mill as a potential target and it was one of those deals that seemed to take pretty much forever to finally get to the stage where it could be announced.

He’s Announced – Some Brighton Fans Can Cease Their Meltdown

With plenty of fans losing their marbles in recent days as they spammed every tweet from the club with ‘announce’ messages, the delight at seeing his arrival confirmed was certainly palpable amongst the fanbase and it seems his capture has made a number of fans’ summer.

One thing is for sure, having consolidated our position in the Premier League last year, eighth largely top quality signings on paper certainly shows the club is serious about kicking on further from here.

Although is this the wrong time to admit I didn’t actually notice him at the World Cup?
