A first defeat in five game saw Brighton drop below Bolton, who had won only once in nine in all competitions prior to this one, after our one-nil loss at the Macron Stadium on Saturday – all isn’t lost though, still is a setback to our survival hopes but how we respond will tell us plenty….

We could have taken an early lead when Baldock had a chance but Bolton’s Man United loanee ‘keeper Amos produced a fine save on his home debut with him filling with others injured.

Bolton defender Ream went as close as anyone for the hosts from distance.

Amos denied Baldock and was quick off his line to thwart Mackail-Smith as he took out our striker and his own man Feeney, legally I might add, as any good ‘keeper should!

Bolton make the breakthrough just before the midway point of the second half when Vela put through Clough (64), who continues to enhance his growing reputation, to score what proved to be the winner.

Following this game, as is customary of course, attention now turns to the MotM for us – who you think this was?

Select the name that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that person, and this latest game itself, with some views….
