Goalkeeper Peter Brezovan has said he’s hoping for another chance to impress between the sticks on Monday when we face Hull City in the FA Cup.

So far head coach Oscar Garcia has kept faith with our No 2 for every minute of this season’s cup run, and Brezovan is obviously very hopeful that this will continue.

Speaking to the Official Site Brezovan explained that the FA Cup was always special for players who ply their trade in this country, but for him not playing much league action, having the cup games to be involved has been brilliant for him.

‘The players can show the manager what they can do and it’s a great opportunity to impress. I’ve played a few games this season but obviously for any player, it’s disappointing when you’re not in the team, but if you have an opportunity then it’s always great.’

Brezovan said that so far during the games he has played, he’s been pleased with his own performances, and although he’s not called on normally, he believes he’s pushing Tomasz Kuszczak all the way in training which is his role also.

‘It is a competition but if you asked Casper (Ankergren) he would probably say the same as me. Tomasz had big value and maybe he will play, he is a great keeper but we have to fight for the spot. And we help each other out as we are friends.’
