Brighton missed the chance to secure Championship survival, which is something that Huddersfield managed by going away with a point, with the draw at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday meaning we could still be relegated.

This nil-nil draw was enough to confirm that Chris Powell’s side will stay up, it did end our run of three successive defeats and also stopped Huddersfield from winning a third straight game but it also means that it’s over nine-hours since we scored a goal – at least one of our players scored a goal.

A seven-point cushion, with only three-matches left to play, should mean that we’re safe but mathematically this isn’t the case for us yet….

Well travelled Huddersfield striker Miller almost marked his recalled with an early goal but Halford will know that he should have done better with an effort from close range, he could only hit the side netting when an effort on target would have almost certainly resulted in a goal.

Miller again threatened but Stockdale with Middlesbrough loanee Carayol denied his first goal for Brighton when he put Bruno’s cross into him against the bar but in the second half there were nothing more than half chances, Dunk having the best of them but he couldn’t take it.

Worryingly Liverpool loanee Teixeira, who was a threat, was stretchered off with his leg strapped up with Huddersfield denied twice by the woodwork as Butterfield and Wells both went close to winning it.
