A reaction was wanted to Brighton’s weekend defeat and we most definitely got this in midweek with an impressive win over Ipswich at the Amex Stadium.

Ipswich would have come into this as the favourites, and could have gone top of the Championship with a win, but the odd goal in five saw us run out three-two winners on Wednesday night.

We got off to a fine start when Baldock (18) put us ahead, this wasn’t a lead that lasted long though as within five-minutes Murphy (22) drew Ipswich level.

Ince would have put us ahead had his effort not been cleared off the line with it looking like being one-one at the break, that was until Teixeira (38) restored our lead shortly before half time and deep into injury-time Teixeira (45+2) struck again to leave us in control at the break.

Breathing space could have come our way but we didn’t take the chance with Ipswich back in the game with 12-minutes to play when Sears (78) scored his first goal for his new club – despite going close, Ipswich didn’t manage this with us running out three-two winners….
