Brighton’s Championship season continued with a defeat against Brentford at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.

A second successive defeat was suffered by Brighton with the two-nil defeat by Brentford at the Amex also the first at home since New Years Day.

Before the half hour mark Hogan put Brentford ahead with him completing the win for the Bees in the 70th-minute with Stockdale denying him a hat-trick as Brighton dropped to 13th in the table after back-to-back defeats.

Hemed saw an effort cleared off the line as Albion had attempted to get back into the match at one-down.

The return to Championship action, after the international break, saw Reading see off Ipswich two-one on Friday to get the weekend underway.

Brentford beaten Brighton two-nil at the Amex Stadium with the Seagulls suffering a second successive defeat by the same scoreline too with the league leaders winning once again as Huddersfield won one-nil at Leeds.

The winning of the Manager of the Month award for Huddersfield’s David Wagner wasn’t a jinx with that win at Elland Road keeping the Terriers’ early season form going and them sitting pretty at the top.

Newcastle’s winning run also went on with a win against Brighton before the break followed up with a two-nil win at Derby at the iPro Stadium with the Rams’ early season struggles ongoing under Nigel Pearson.
