Jeffrey Monakana’s disappointing spell with Brighton, which it had been ultimately, has come to an end with the Official Website confirming his release.

It was mutually agreed the former Preston winger, who has had loans with Crawley, Aberdeen, Mansfield, Carlisle and Bristol Rovers since signing, should move on with him heading to Romania of all places!

A strange move to make but he’s now signed for FC Voluntari where he’ll look to get his career back on track having failed to make a first-team appearances for Albion during his two-years at the Amex Stadium.

The 22-year-old former Arsenal trainee, when he wasn’t out on loan, had been a regular in the Development Squad but wasn’t ever coming into Chris Hughton’s first-team plans so this exit was the best for all concern, if his decision to move to Romania proves to be the right call will be known in time but good luck to him.
