Brighton Get Extra Time To Complete Fullback Deal

|

It’s being reported that Brighton and Hove Albion have definitely beaten Fulham to the capture of Valencia fullback Martin Montoya today.

Sky Sports are reporting that Brighton are one of a number of clubs who have applied to the Premier League for a deal extension and that we got the initial deal sheet in ahead of the window so now have until 7pm to complete all the formalities and get the deal confirmed.

There’s still no transfer fee speculated for the 27-year-old and he is a right-back so will add further competition to our backline.

The Spanish youth international has never stepped up to his countries senior squad, but he’s well rated and having made the move to La Liga and Valencia back in the summer of 2016 he would leave the club having made a total of 52 appearances, with a return of two goals.

If this deal comes to pass he would be Chris Hughton’s third addition of the day following on from Wigan Athletic’s Dan Burn and Under 23 prospect Peter Gwargis.

All eyes to 7pm and an official announcement now.
