Brighton are being linked with Arsenal’s Joel Campbell, who has been mentioned in connection with Galatasaray but is currently on loan with Sporting Lisbon, as Chris Hughton plots Albion’s first season of Premier League football.
According to Futbol Centro America a fee of ?10m had been agreed between Arsenal and Sporting over a permanent transfer this summer but a disappointing spell has seen the Portuguese club decide against a deal.
Interest from Turkish club Galatasaray has also ended leaving Hughton with a free run at the Costa Rican, who has made 27 appearance for Sporting this season but hasn’t managed a start since January.
Campbell, regularly loaned out by Arsenal during his time in North London, will be out of contract in 2018 so the Gunners might prefer to sell permanently as opposed to a temporary spell at the Amex Stadium?
