Brighton and Hove Albion are being linked in the press with moves for Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry and Birmingham City’s David Cotterill.

Gnabry has spent the first half of the year – unsuccessfully – with West Bromwich Albion making only a handful of appearances in the first half of the year, and it’s expected (if he hasn’t already been) that he will be recalled before the turn of the week given his spell with them so far.

It’s being suggested that we have already made contract with Arsenal over the 20 year old to see whether a loan for this half of 2015-16 could be organised in our favour.

Equally thin in terms of any real details are reports linking us with Cotterill, and a few outlet’s are suggesting that manager Chris Hughton is ready to trigger an apparent £1million release fee clause he has in his deal at St Andrew’s.

The 28 year old has only just returned from a knee injury he sustained in November, but he does have eleven appearances for Gary Rowett’s side so far this year with a return of two goals and three assists and he’s also pretty handy from deadball situations.

We’ll have to see, but with so many injuries hitting in the middle of the park, links to creative sorts this window won’t be any shock but it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s anything in them.
