Brighton Table £11million Offer For Championship Defensive Duo

|

Reports surfaced over the weekend that Brighton and Hove Albion had tabled a firm £3million offer for Wigan Athletic centre-half Dan Burn.

The Daily Mail claimed our interest in the player early Sunday morning and Burn is a new name when it comes to Brighton on the rumour mill.

He has apparently been in demand though as a number of clubs have been namechecked with an interest in him previously given the campaign he had for Wigan as they won promotion back into the second tier in the season of 2017/18. That campaign saw the 26-year-old named in the PFA Team of the Year.

Although our interest is new in Burn, it does make sense given how long we’ve been linked with Reading defender Liam Moore and that move going nowhere, but they also say we have gone back to Sheffield United and increased our offer to £8million for their centre-half Jack O’Connell, and his name obviously isn’t new in transfer speculation.

With ten additions for Chris Hughton already, we’ll have to see if anything comes of this offers.
