Brighton and Hove Albion almost managed to battle to a point in the weekend’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur at the Amex Stadium but whilst we didn’t manage to come out of the game with a point to show for our efforts, we certainly came out of the match with a huge degree of respect from the travelling fans.

With the news of Chas Hodges (of Chas + Dave fame) sad passing, the Brighton faithful joined in with the away fans in their chants in memory of the man, and the individual responsible for the halftime tune playing ensured a proper tribute was paid by the club and it went over incredibly well with the fans.
So much so in fact, that a number took the time to visit our Twitter feed to express their thanks and respect.

It’s no surprise to see Brighton make this move, we’re a good club at heart and given manager Chris Hughton’s ties to Tottenham from his playing days and his own sing-alongs with Chas and Dave, it was also a solid decision in his direction as well.
