Huddersfield were the better side at the John Smith’s Stadium and collected the three points as a result after beating Brighton 3-1 on Thursday.

When commenting on the Official Website Bruno admitted Brighton’s performance at the John Smith’s wasn’t good enough.

However, he also felt Huddersfield deserved credit for the way they performed.

‘They had more intensity and quality on the ball, especially in the first half, we spent 45 minutes defending. It`s so difficult to play like that away from home, because if you can`t pass the ball three or four times to kill their momentum, it`s so difficult.’

Adding.

‘They got all the second balls in the first half and the yellow card was a mistake from me. It was so hard to play with that yellow card from that first minute. It wasn`t our best game, but it`s time to forget about the result. We need to be together, learn from this and come back stronger.’

Despite the fact Brighton missed the chance to go into the weekend with a four point lead over Newcastle we’ve still well placed to secure automatic promotion as we hold a four point lead over Reading.

Bruno echoed what boss Chris Hughton had said about the competitive nature of the Championship and how difficult every game is. But the captain said we’ll look to come back from this defeat.

A reaction – and definitely an improved performance – is wanted at Brentford with Bruno finishing by saying.

‘Brentford are playing well and we know they`re a strong side at home, so it will be a really tough game. The pitch is a bit smaller and we need to learn from today about the second balls, they are going to be so important and we have to improve on that. But now it`s time to get together, analyse the mistakes and get a reaction.’
