The 100% start, in all competitions that Chris Hughton’s made since taking over at Brighton continued on Saturday afternoon as he led us to a one-nil win at Charlton – granted he’s only been in charge for two games but he’s now led us to FA Cup and now, more importantly, Championship wins in games we’ve not conceded a goal in!

An early lead almost came our way when Charlton ‘keeper Etheridge lost a ball but March’s effort was blocked, similarly the same happened for Charlton with Tucudean’s strike blocked with Wilson’s effort going over.

Etheridge kept out a Baldock header and also cam rushing out of goal to dent March with the home ‘keeper also saving to keep out a Bennett header before Charlton’s Solly went closest of all but his rasping drive from 25-yards hit the bar.

Ince (62) got on the end of a March cross to make the breakthrough just past the hour to head home and give us the lead Holla could have wrapped up the points but was wasteful with a freekick but it didn’t matter as we ran out one-nil winners.

Before the game a point wouldn’t have been a bad point at all would it, thankfully it was more, but these were the pre-match polls findings:-

Charlton v Brighton

Draw 100%
Brighton win 0%
Charlton win 0%

Now we’re looking for the ‘Man of the Match’, as that’s what the latest poll is asking so do cast a vote – did a starter, or someone from the bench, offer us the most in this win?

Select the name that you want from the list in the MotM poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking, and the game itself, with some views below.

This site is looking for bloggers, so if you’re a fan that can offer us a genuine opinion we would love to share it with the masses!
