Having failed with a bid to bring in Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham, previously linked with Ruben Loftus Cheek too, Brighton are looking at another Blues forward, Izzy Brown.

According to Sky Sports, Albion are looking to bring Brown to the Amex Stadium on a season-long loan deal.

Brown, who continued his development at Chelsea after coming through the West Brom ranks, moving to Stamford Bridge as a 15 year old, had spent last season on loan at Huddersfield.

During his spell at Huddersfield, reportedly interested in a deal to take him back to the John Smith’s Stadium, Brown, 20, scored four goals in 17 appearances, helping the Terriers into the Premier League via the play-offs.

The forward is apparently seen as ‘surplus to requirements’ under Antonio Conte, who would sanction his exit despite an inability to land Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and the fact Diego Costa has also been told he can leave, the Spaniard is set to re-join Atletico Madrid.

Brown’s one appearance for Chelsea has come from the bench – the England U20 international has also been loaned to Vitesse Arnhem and Rotherham in the past.
