Left back Adam Chicksen has now extended his loan deal with Fleetwood Town.

The 23 year old moved to Highbury Stadium at the end of February on an initial one month loan deal, and having made seven appearances for them as they make a late surge for the play off spots in League One – having been promoted from League Two last season – their manager Graham Alexander approached the club for an extension.

That has been granted by gaffer Chris Hughton and Chicksen will now remain with them until the end of the current campaign.

As part of the loan deal he will remain eligible for them should they make the play offs, including any potential Wembley appearance.

In his seven games so far they have picked up two wins, three draws and only lost twice, now sitting three points behind the Top Six.

He moved to them having made ten appearances for us so far this campaign, plus four more for Gillingham in an earlier loan spell ahead of Christmas.
