Controversial Huddersfield Red Helps This Brighton Man To MotM

|

On Saturday, Brighton and Hove Albion headed to the John Smith’s Stadium to face off against familiar Huddersfield Town.

With a number of Championship battles between both sides prior to promotion into the Premier League, manager Chris Hughton knew how tough David Wagner’s side would be to beat, but we managed just that with goals coming from Shane Duffy and Florin Andone.

That’s not the full story of the game though as the hosts were ahead inside of the opening minute and then a somewhat controversial red card more than helped us get back into the game.

Taking a 2-1 win, statistics website Whoscored were favourable in their player ratings given the control we ended with, and goalscorer Duffy was their star man with a rating of 8.61 for his efforts.

The top five on the day were completed by Solly March given his double assist (8.38), Yves Bissouma (7.61), Pascal Gross (7.48) and Andone (7.31).

Bernardo also picked up 7.23 for his efforts and Lewis Dunk missed out on a 7+ rating by 0.01.

Now for the Crystal Palace derby.
