It’s being reported that Brighton and manager Chris Hughton have started turning their attentions to Hibernian striker Jason Cummings ahead of the January transfer window.

The 20 year old striker has scored in the last seven games for the Scottish Championship side and also scored his first international goal for Scotland’s Under 21 side this week in their two all draw against Ukraine at St Mirren Park, and with his total for 2015-16 already standing at 13, he looks on target to beat his 2014-15 return of 21 goals for them as they fell late on in their push for promotion back to the Scottish Premier League.

It’s being said that Brighton are now preparing an offer for the New Year having had him watched in recent weeks, but if we do firm up our interest in the youngster it’s expected we will face competition from Swansea who already have two failed bids for him, plus Fulham, Middlesbrough and Cardiff.

He certainly knows where the net is looking at his goal return and clearly last season wasn’t a one off wonder in terms of his form, but other than that I don’t really know much about him.

Worth a punt maybe?
