Young defender Lewis Dunk has today signed a new four year deal with Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 22 year old centre half is the latest player to commit his future to the club following on from Solly March, Jake Forster-Caskey, Rohan Ince and Christian Walton who have all signed new deals recently, and he now contracted to the club until the summer of 2018.

Speaking to the Official Site manager Sami Hyypia said of the deal.

‘Lewis fully deserves this new contract. He has proved that he is worthy of a place in our first teams quad, and he has a very bright future ahead of him. He’s come through the club’s youth system and developed as a player. It’s now up to Lewis to work hard, continue learning and try to earn a regular place in the first team.’

Having made his first team debut back in the 2009-10 season as a fresh faced 18 year old in the scoreless draw against MK Dons, he has now made 68 competitive appearances for us across all competitions.
