I’m often accused by my wife of being like a broken record the way I bang on and on about certain things. Usually things, in my defence, thing I’m passionate about! At this rate Chris Hughton’s going to be accused of this too, but then again it’s only something he’s passion about too.

Once again, in light of continued interest in Lewis Dunk, he’s told the BBC Brighton have absolutely no interest in selling him or any of our other best players.

Fulham’s interest in Dunk remains but with a £4m offer turned down this week Hughton’s hopeful, much as he sees himself, the defender sees a bright future with Albion. Dunk certainly isn’t going to be allowed to move on, with Hughton saying.

‘We know the qualities that Lewis has got. He’s a local lad and one we see having a very bright future here.

‘We certainly don’t want to be losing our best players.’

As we already know, as he also confirmed this on Thursday, the 23-year-old will be back in action for us against Aberdeen this weekend with him only missing Crawley as a precaution following the ‘whack’ he took in the friendly defeat against Southampton.

Two and two would had been put together by some that he would be moving on, what with him missing that win at Crawley but he’s not played his last game for Albion and will add plenty more appearances to the 109 he’s made since his debut back in 2010.

Well, all being well!
