Two Brighton players have been called up by their countries for the upcoming rounds of international games.

First up, defender Gordon Greer finds himself in the Scotland squad again for their two games in June.

Gordon Strachan’s side take on Qatar in a friendly game at Hibernian’s Easter Road on Friday June 5th, before then taking on the Republic of Ireland in a European Qualifier at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday June 13.

Under 21 skipper Glen Rea has been named in the Republic of Ireland’s under 21 squad for their upcoming friendly against the England C side and the England under 21 side.

They face England C at Eamonn Deacy Park on Monday June 1, before heading to Birmingham to take on England under 21’s at St George’s Park on Friday June 5.

This is Rea’s third call up, having played in the friendlies against USA and Russia back in November, before then playing in their Euro qualifier against Andorra in March.

For the England under 21 game it’s expected that Gareth Southgate will call up Jake Forster-Caskey to the squad.
