Ahead of the weekend’s game against Bolton Wanderers, two youngsters gained loan moves out of the Amex.

First up striker Shamir Fenelon has made the move to League Two side Dagenham and Redbridge and that spell will last until March 28.

He made his debut for them as a substitute coming on in the 80th minute in their two one loss to Mansfield yesterday.

Next up was left back Adam Chicksen who has moved out to League One play off hopefuls Fleetwood Town on a spell that will last until March 29.

He made his full debut for them in their three nil loss to Chesterfield yesterday.

Speaking to the Official Site as the deals were announced manager Chris Hughton explained.

‘It’s important for our younger players’ continuing development that they play as many games as possible, at the highest level. Adam has the opportunity of games in League One, where previously he did very well during his time at Gillingham. Similarly with Shamir he will get regular games with Dagenham in League Two, after a good spell at that level with Tranmere in December and January.’

Hughton says that obviously we will monitor their progress closely over the month, but it’s a fantastic opportunity for both players to get more first team action under their belts at what is a crucial point of the season for both the clubs they have arrived at.
