Brighton have today confirmed that the first home game of the new Championship 2016/17 season against Nottingham Forest will be screened live on television.

Sky Sports have selected the Amex Stadium opener to the year, and having been scheduled originally for Saturday August 13, the game now moves forward to the Friday slot.

It therefore kicks off at 7.45pm on Friday August 12 and is three days after we play the League Cup first round tie against Colchester United.

It’s the third straight time a fixture against Forest has been screened by Sky, as both ties last season were also in front of their cameras.

As of yet, no other fixtures have suffered a change but that won’t last long.
