Jake Forster-Caskey’s moved a step closer to going away with the England U21 squad to the Czech Republic this summer for the 2015 Euros as he’s been named in the preliminary 27-man squad.

The midfielder’s been a mainstay in Gareth Southgate’s squad in the past 12-months so he’ll be hopeful of retaining a place on final 23-man squad when it’s named at the start of next month.

Should Forster-Caskey make the final cut he’ll then be hoping to be involved when the final get underway against Portugal on June 18th.

First of all though he’ll look to be involved in the England friendlies against Belarus and the Republic of Ireland, in a behind-closed-doors game, and then it’s decision time! He’ll find out if he’s in or out….All being well it’s in!
