Brighton confirmed ahead of the FA Cup third round tie with Hull City that young midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey has rejoined MK Dons for a second loan spell.

Having been with Karl Robinson’s side between September and October in the first half of the campaign, the England Under 21 international has headed back to them for the remainder of the current campaign.

He headed back to Stadium:mk in time to re-debut for them in their own third round tie against Northampton at the weekend.

As per the terms of the loan deal the 21 year old is not eligible for our game against them when we make the trip on March 19, and speaking to the Official Site manager Chris Hughton explained.

‘With the form of Dale Stephens and Beram Kayal in midfield, Jake has found it very difficult to get the number of games he would want. On the back of a very successful loan period with MK Dons earlier in the season, that opportunity has arisen again and we felt it would be an ideal move for all parties involved. Jake played very regularly when he was there previously, and that is something he is keen to do; and the loan gives us an opportunity to watch and evaluate his progress while he is there.’

Having become our youngest ever player when he debuted back in 2009-10 as a 16 year old, he now has 82 appearances to his name with a return of nine goals and hopefully the spell will be productive for him again in his continuing development.
