Brighton ended the year on a positive note with a win over Fulham on Monday night to move out of the Championship relegation zone.

Two second half goals, including the decisive second three-minutes from time, gave us a first win in nine league games and kept caretaker manager Nathan Jones’ unbeaten record intact with a two-nil win at Craven Cottage.

After a goalless first half, which saw Fulham ‘keeper Bettinelli the busier of the two and Brighton looking the more likely to break through, Colunga missed a glorious chance to give us the lead early in the second half but his effort clipped the outside of the post when he should have done better….

It wasn’t much after, on the hour, that a penalty came our way when Stafylidis brought down Joe Bennett. Colunga (60) converted, sending Bettinelli the wrong way, to give us a one-nil lead.

Fulham looked for an equaliser but former ‘keeper Stockdale saved well to make sure they didn’t with the two-nil win sealed when sub March (87) kept his cool to convert when put in by Teixeira three-minutes from time to make sure we ended the year outside of the relegation zone.
