“Gotta Love That Man” “Strange Decision That” – These Brighton Fans Laud This Man’s Showing

|

Saturday’s top-flight encounter between Brighton and Hove Albion and newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Amex Stadium left fans with plenty to should about.

Bruno’s first elderly assist since 2014 in the Premier League, Glenn Murray’s 100th Brighton goal and three straight victories for the first time since 1981 were all reasons for the fans to celebrate, but the performance – and in particular that late stop – by Australian goalkeeper Maty Ryan, was definitely in need of particular praise, and fans on social media were happy to oblige.

Having kept his third clean sheet in a row in the match, the 26-year-old deserved every ounce of praise he took from the game given Wolves’ domination and chances on target across the 90 minutes.

He’s far from alone in deserving praise after that more rearguard effort once more, but he, like others, continue to dig deep for the cause and whilst it’s not always pretty – those kinds of gutsy performances can sometimes be the best to watch for the more traditional ‘blood and guts’ type of fan.
