Yesterday evening Brighton striker Tomer Hemed agreed a new contract extension keeping him at the Amex Stadium until the summer of 2019.
The deal was actually signed earlier in the day, and the 30 year old so far has 97 appearances to his name at the club, with a return of 33 goals following his arrival from La Liga side Almeria back in the summer of 2015.
Speaking to the Official Site when the news was announced, manager Chris Hughton explained.
‘Tomer has been brilliant for the club since we signed him in 2015. He has scored crucial goals in both the Championship and Premier League in his time here. He was a key player for us in our promotion-winning season, and this season he has made the step up to the Premier League. We have all been absolutely delighted with his contribution, and this new contract is hard earned and well deserved.’
He has 29 caps for Israel, with a return of 15 international goals.
