After the debut season Tomer Hemed had with Brighton it shouldn’t be too surprising that interest is reported being shown in him.

Rumour has it Maccabi Tel Aviv have been tempted by the prospect of trying to take the former Maccabi Haifa striker back to Israel this summer.

Not that it’ll happen!

This interest in Brighton’s Israeli international has been ‘leaked to the media’ in his homeland but any interest in the 29-year-old isn’t going to come of anything with a ‘source’ telling the Argus.

‘Maccabi, led by sporting director Jordi Cruyff, have a lot of money to spend. They are doing everything they can to get him back but it’s never going to happen.’

Hemed was signed for (what’s looking a bargain) £1m from Spanish club Almeria with him ending as Brighton’s top goalscorer with 17-goals last season with the 29-year-old himself recently speaking about his excitement for the season ahead with Albion.
