Earlier today betting was suspended on 42 year old Nathan Jones when it came to the vacant Luton Town managerial post.

Other bookies who remain open such as Sky Bet have tumbled his odds to 1/10.

Having joined as assistant gaffer to Oscar Garcia back in the summer of 2013, Jones has become a fixture since then, stepping into the caretaker role when needed and our current first team coach also has experience from Yeovil Town where he was assistant for three years as well.

Jones does have previous with Luton and Kenilworth Road as it was his first club in his playing days – although he didn’t debut for them before moving on.

He has also helped out England Under 21 gaffer Gareth Southgate at points for experience, most recently the last match held at the Amex, so time is probably right for him to start making a name of his own now, but should the move come off it would obviously be a loss to Brighton.
