Nathan Jones has said that Brighton more than know what they will be up against when we face off against former manager Micky Adams’ Port Vale side this weekend.

Jones himself was signed by Adams during his stay at Brighton, and Jones is very aware that he demands nothing less than 110% from his players, so he knows how difficult a game it is going to be.

Speaking to the Official Site our assistant gaffer explained that facing off against Port Vale in the FA Cup fourth round would’ve been a difficult enough game anyway given the type of side they are, but with Adams in charge he adds spice and has ‘made a living out of working hard.’

‘We know exactly what we’re going to get and we will be ready because we are a professional group. This is what the FA Cup is about, and Oscar will now get a real proper feel for it as he has only been involved in one, but this is a proper Cup tie.’

Jones adds that on a personal level he’s looking forward to returning to Vale Park again having celebrated winning the league there with Albion previously, and for the players he’s told the what a nice big pitch it is there, and he’s hoping we use every inch so we come out after 90 minutes with something different to celebrate this time round.

Certainly could be an interesting and feisty match, especially with a fifth round reward to play for.
