Just Three More & This Brighton Man Reaches A Milestone

|

Veteran striker Glenn Murray helped Brighton and Hove Albion to a point in last weekend’s clash with Fulham and picking up a brace of goals on the day, the soon to be 35-year-old registered his 97th club goal.

Having scored 57 times during his first spell at the club back between January 2008 and May 2011, he proved himself to be an absolute snip for a reported £300,000 from Rochdale. Returning to the club in the summer of 2016, he’s added 79 additional appearances to his tally and in this spell with us he’s scored 40 more times.

Clearly a fan favourite, reacting to the news that he’s now only three away from the 100 goal milestone in our colours has gone over incredibly well on social media and it’s not just a personal milestone he’s in for, it’s also club history as he’ll surpass Kit Napier as our Record postwar goalscorer in the process when he achieves the three-figure mark.

There’s no way he’s not going to write himself into history, he’s on for double figures this season again surely.
