Brighton are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.
The performances by Anthony Knockaert in the one two nil victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers and the two one victory over Wigan Athletic in the weekend’s Easter double header was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.
I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Knockaert was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.
‘After picking up the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Season honour last Sunday, Knockaert emphasised just why with two goals against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Good Friday. Promotion was confirmed three days later, and the French winger’s trickery played a part in the goal that sealed it, scored by Solly March.’
It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Knockaert for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.
