Brighton are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Anthony Knockaert in the two one victory over Huddersfield at the weekend at the Amex Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Knockaert was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Knockaert was the architect as Brighton halted Huddersfield’s five-match unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship. The Frenchman was unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet when he struck the woodwork, but he teed up Bobby Zamora and James Wilson as the Seagulls climbed back up to third in the table.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Knockaert for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Ian Lawlor (Bury), Stephen Hendrie (Southend United), Jake Wright (Oxford United), Moses Odubajo (Hull City), Anthony Knockaert (Brighton), Michael Mancienne (Nottingham Forest), Pelly Ruddock (Luton Town), Richie Wellens (Shrewsury Town), Will Buckley (Birmingham City), Sam Winnall (Barnsley), Paddy Madden (Scunthorpe United).

Manager – Kevin Nolan (Leyton Orient).
