Frenchman Anthony Knockaert believes that Premier League teams are now starting to sit up and take note of Brighton given our start to the 2017/18 campaign.

Going into the November international break, Brighton sit in eighth place in the Premier League table with a return of 15 points from our opening eleven matches and discussing a few topics with the Official Site Knockaert spoke about the organisation that goes on and a natural off shoot of that is we simply focus on each game as it comes and making sure they give each match everything until the final whistle.

‘We have great organisation and the gaffer insists that we keep a good shape. The players give everything on the pitch and our team spirit is amazing. But we need to stay focused and not think we`ve done everything already. There are a lot of important games to play – Stoke at home is the next one and we`ll need another great performance. We`re not focused on what`s going to happen over the next few games, we`re just focused on the next one and that`s going to be key for us this season.’

In the last game ahead of the break, Knockaert notched up his first assist of the current campaign as we extended our unbeaten run to four games against Swansea City and with Brighton pulling results out so far this year, he felt teams would take note of us now, but that just reinforced that there’s a long way to go in the season yet and we can’t let our own standards dip.

‘There`s still a lot of work to do, but it`s good for our confidence to see that we can perform well at this level. We`ve started to get a bit more respect from other teams. We`ve shown that we`re tough to play against, but we need to keep playing our way and everything will be alright.’
