Summer signing Florin Andone made his long-awaited comeback from injury in Friday’s Under 23 tie with West Ham United.

The plan had been to get him some minutes in the match with him then maybe getting a second run out in tonight’s Premier League clash against Southampton so the 25-year-old could finally make his maiden Brighton and Hove Albion bow.
He got 45 minutes in our 2-1 victory and looked pretty bright and fans were certainly impressed with the initial efforts they saw from him, knowing that he should only get better as his fitness and sharpness builds and he gets more settled at the club.
You looked strong and me and my old man @Biggafferglen7 love your commitment. I can not wait to see you play for @OfficialBHAFC I think you are going to immense #UTA #BHAFC

All eyes to tonight’s tie against Mark Hughes’ side at St Mary’s Stadium then to see if he does, in fact, get himself a spot on the bench and make some kind of cameo in the game. The reactions from those who saw the Under 23 game certainly seem positive about the kind of player we have on our hands, so the sooner we see that the better as although no one is getting carried away after our summer strengthening, the quality of player we have brought in has raised expectations slightly.
💬 "I’m feeling good and am very positive. My injury is in the past now and I’m fit."
