Has LuaLua played his last game for Brighton after the club confirmed that he has broken his ankle and faces a 10 week lay off?
BRIGHTON have today confirmed that Kazenga LuaLua has broken his ankle during The Seagulls 3-1 defeat to Hartlepool.
LuaLua was injured in the build up to Hartlepool’s third goal after a collision with Andy Monkhouse. LuaLua left the pitch on a stretcher, but left the stadium on crutches. A scan later revealed that he had broken his ankle and would rule him out for at least 10 weeks.
The 10 week lay off would take him past his current loan agreement, which at the moment means that LuaLua has played his last game for the club. He came on as a sub, and made an immediate impact in the half hour he was on the pitch, setting up Dicker’s goal, and causing lots of havoc in the Hartlepool defence, before having to go off injured.
He has been in fine form this season scoring 4 goals and claiming 4 assists in a series of eye catching displays. LuaLua is an essential member of the Brighton squad, and is often the difference between the two teams in any given match.
