Rumours of Kazenga LuaLua leaving Brighton to join QPR have now got as far as Sky Sports with Sky sources claiming he’s undergoing a medical ahead of a proposed move to Loftus Road.
What a turnaround we have seen with LuaLua in the past year or so. He was in great form for Brighton last season and was picking up awards as the best player in the Championship.
However, injury and a loss of form – he was also sent off in the EFL Cup in the win against Wimbledon back in December – since looks as though he’s now become surplus to requirements at the Amex Arena.
As LuaLua is reportedly close to agreeing personal terms I think – assuming these reports are accurate – the winger wouldn’t be leaving Brighton on loan would he?
The former Newcastle winger – who had three loans with Albion before he signed – would join Ian Holloway’s side permanently it seems.
LuaLua has been limited to just the six appearances for Brighton this season with Chris Hughton seemingly ready to let the 26 year old move on.
