Brighton’s Kazenga LuaLua has the chance to get his career back on track – having clearly lost his way of late due to injury and a lack of form/discipline – after completing a loan switch to QPR until the end of the season.

LuaLua hasn’t made a first team appearance for Albion since August due to his knee injury and the form of those ahead of him.

After this loan was confirmed Chris Hughton – whilst not doubting his ability – admitted to the Official Website this season had been a frustrating time for the 26 year old.

‘There is no doubting Kazenga’s ability, and it has been a frustrating time for him with the injury he picked up earlier in the season.’

The boss added this will give LuaLua the chance to get the football he wants with it a good move all round.

‘Kazenga is fit and wants to play, and this move gives him that chance to play regular football in the Championship. It’s a move which is a good one for both clubs and the player.’

With LuaLua now free from his four match suspension – due to his sending off in the EFL Trophy against Wimbledon last month – he could make his QPR debut against Reading this week.

However, when Brighton head to Loftus Road for the Championship meeting in April LuaLua isn’t going to be eligible to face Albion.
