Brighton are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Solly March in Brighton’s two one victory over MK Dons at the weekend at The Amex was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why March was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Brighton set a new club record by going 17 league games unbeaten on Saturday, following their 2-1 win over Milton Keynes Dons. March hit the opener, and played his part in the move that saw Jamie Murphy double the advantage for Chris Hughton’s promotion hopefuls.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to March for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points and a now record 17 games unbeaten run.

Full Team:

Frank Fielding (Bristol City), Tommy Smith (Ipswich), Michael Keane (Burnley), Paul Huntington (Preston), Solly March (Brighton), Alex Mowatt (Leeds), Jake Livermore (Hull), David Vaughan (Nottingham Forest), Joe Ralls (Cardiff), Daryl Murphy (Ipswich), Clayton Donaldson (Birmingham).

Manager – Karel Fraeye (Charlton).
