The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Coventry City this Tuesday.
Brighton’s Under 23 side travel to Coventry City on Tuesday January 10 for the Football League Trophy/Checkatrade Trophy round three tie at the Ricoh Arena and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.
Referee: Rob Lewis
Linesmen: Bob Roberts and Richard Bartlett
Fourth Official: Christopher Sarginson
Brighton are one of the 16 Category One Academy sides taking part in the competition this season on a trial basis.
Match Day referee Lewis has officiated six games so far in the 2016/17 campaign with a return of 19 yellow cards and zero red cards.
In 2015/16 he took in 27 matches and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 85 yellow cards and four red cards.
He was most card happy in the match between Peterborough and Crawley on August 11 with a total of seven yellows being shown. He also showed seven in the Sheffield United v Gillingham game in April.
Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
