Brighton’s season comes to an end on Saturday; I think most of us will be glad to see the back of it following the game at promotion chasing Middlesbrough.

The game at the Riverside Stadium has little meaning for us, but even though our hosts have secured a play-off place the outcome could have some relevance for them, worst case we drop a place to finish literally just outside of the relegation zone and best case we climb a place and finish above Reading!

Middlesbrough will be without George Friend (suspension) following his sending off in the seven-goal thriller of a defeat against Fulham last time round. Patrick Bamford (ankle) is doubtful.

Muzzy Carayol (ineligible) misses out for us and as such has return to his parent club, which is of course Middlesbrough.

Craig Mackail-Smith could come in for his final start with our club-record signing leaving in the summer at the end of his contract with Inigo Calderon, Rohan Ince and Kazenga LuaLua all hoping for starts too.

Injuries keep out Joao Teixeira (broken leg), Sam Baldock, Andrew Crofts (both knee), Kemy Agustien (thigh) and Solly March (calf).

Middlesbrough are on for the double having beaten us two-one at the Amex Stadium back in October, this is something we would be keen to avoid seen as several clubs have managed this already this season!

Can we end on a high on the road?
