“New Season, Same Old Celebration” – One Brighton Man’s Delight At Being Back At The Amex

|

With Brighton and Hove Albion suffering a disappointing loss to Watford as we opened the Premier League campaign of 2018/19 with a 2-0 defeat, this weekend saw plenty to celebrate following victory over Manchester United.

Welcoming Jose Mourinho’s side the Amex Brighton scored three times in the opening 45 minutes to take control of the game in the way it mattered as Glenn Murray, Shane Duffy and Pascal Gross found the back of the net, but we didn’t have it all our own way as they did hit back twice to set up a nervy ending, but we saw it out to return our first three points of the year.

With the injury to Lewis Dunk being the only real disappointment on the day there were plenty of positives and goalkeeper Maty Ryan identified the atmosphere on the day as being huge on that front.

Fans were fully on board with that and quick to pass compliments back in his direction following his own performance and contribution to the game.

We’ll take more of that this year for sure.
